ICHOR SYSTEMS ANNOUNCES THE ACQUISITION OF SEMI SCENIC UK LIMITED

 

Ichor Systems, Inc., a premier global designer and manufacturer of process tools, gas delivery modules and chemical delivery modules sold to capital equipment manufacturers, today announced the acquisition of Semi Scenic UK Limited. Based in Scotland, Semi Scenic is a leading service provider to global semiconductor equipment and device manufacturers. Ichor Systems is a portfolio company of Francisco Partners.

 

“We see significant opportunity to leverage Semi Scenic’s extensive knowledge of servicing the semiconductor equipment space and their end user relationships into Ichor’s business infrastructure, OEM relationships, and global footprint to form a leading, OEM-approved aftermarket provider in all of the industry segments we serve”, said David Shimmon, Ichor’s Chief Executive Officer. “While supporting and growing its presence in Europe with leading OEMs, Ichor and Semi Scenic will work diligently to expand Semi Scenic’s services to new customers in Asia, Europe, and the United States”. “Semi Scenic will also allow Ichor to better serve its growing European customer base”, noted Shimmon.

The acquisition comes just over 3 months after Ichor Systems was acquired by Francisco Partners, a leading technology-focused private equity firm. “We are extremely pleased to have had the support, insight and capabilities of Francisco Partners during the acquisition process”, said Shimmon. “Together, we quickly recognized the opportunity Semi Scenic presented and worked collaboratively at all levels to close the purchase expeditiously”.
